AAC Rookie of the Year brings a stout resume with him to Boulder

Everything is bigger in Texas including the transfers coming to the Colorado Buffaloes. Folks, this is BIG big.

Former Houston running back Alton McCaskill, after taking visits to Florida, Oklahoma State, Miami and Arizona State, announced he was Boulder bound today on social media.

The 2021 AAC Rookie of the Year missed all of last season due to injury and didn’t take contact this spring. However, he came off an incredible freshman season with a 961 yards and 16 rushing touchdowns (18 total). The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Texas native also added 21 receptions for 113 yards and two touchdowns for the Cougars out of the backfield.

Colorado was rumored to be in the mix to land McCaskill after a majority of Karl Dorrell’s holdovers said “so-long” after the Spring Game. CU also added Kavosiey Smoke and true freshman Dylan Edwards to the rotation this offseason.

McCaskill’s addition give relief to Sheduer Sanders and CU’s offensive attack. He’ll have three years of eligibility remaining. Everyone, if you want to see Chris Brown re-incarnated, watch his highlights:

Welcome, Alton!
