The Buffs will have to deal with the desert heat

When Colorado makes the trip to Tucson next Saturday, they’ll have more than just Tetairoa McMillan and Noah Fifita to deal with. The kickoff time for the Buffaloes’ matchup with the Arizona Wildcats has been announced for 2:00 pm MT on October 19, meaning Colorado will have to work against the scorching desert afternoon heat.

For us back in Boulder, this kickoff time is perfect. We get to sleep in a little, watch some football, and still have time to enjoy our night. For those making the trip, the kickoff time is less than ideal. The high temperature for the 19th is 93 degrees, which isn’t super fun to play in. Hopefully, the Buffs can find some cooling benches and misters for their sidelines.

The game will be broadcast on Fox, making it Colorado’s seventh game this season on national television. America can’t get enough of the Buffs, and apparently Fox can’t either because this will be the third CU game they’ve picked up this season.

ESPN currently gives Colorado a 55.2% chance of beating the Wildcats, so we should be in for a good one in Tucson. Hopefully, the Buffs can keep their cool, both figuratively and literally.
