Wester is officially off the board

Another Buff is off the board! LaJohntay Wester officially got the call today, going 203rd overall to the Baltimore Ravens.

For those of us who watched every snap this season, it’s no surprise Wester got picked up. After Jimmy Horn Jr. went down, Wester stepped up in a huge way and became Shedeur’s go-to guy in the passing game. He finished the year with 74 catches for 931 yards and 10 touchdowns, the most productive receiver for the Buffs outside of Travis Hunter.

At 5’11” and 167 pounds, Wester isn’t the biggest receiver out there, but his quickness and ability to create after the catch made him one of the most reliable weapons in the Buffs offense. He’s got that sneaky ability to get open underneath and break a game open without needing to be a 6’3” deep ball guy.

Baltimore feels like a great spot for him too. They know how to use players who can get loose underneath and pick up tough yards. It’ll be cool to see Wester bring that same energy he had in Boulder to an NFL offense.
