News story is behind a paywall, so I’m not going to link. Per Daily Camera/Longmont Times Call. He’s a Republican from Colorado Springs and will be replaced via Governors appointment. Leaving to pursue career opportunities out of state.

I don’t know what his stance on athletics has been, but I don’t recall ever hearing him being in opposition to anything the AD was requesting. It will be interesting to see who Polis replaces him with and the impact that choice will have on the Presidential search. This could be significant.
