Ringo's midseason report: Psyche of the players

I would have gone down on a lawman if it would have let us trade HaLkins for Willingham.

Uhm, flattered, but not interested...

Seriously, this concept is so ridiculous that I have a hard time believing it is true. Coaching the emotion out of kids in a competition that is largely about emotion?!?!? Speechless.

interesting thing about Koetter was he took and then turned down the OK State job. then, OSU went and hired Les Miles.

His record at ASU was also better than you'd probably imagine. He took ASU to bowl games in 4/6 years, including his final 3. Granted, it wasn't exactly the Rose Bowl and the like, but he certainly did better in the big leagues than HaLk. 66-44 compared to HWMNBN's 19-39 (Note: Erickson is 30-25 at ASU).

Wait. Polk is a hawk guy and seems to play with lots of emotion. So does speedy.

best psyche of the players is play time for now and 2nd or third stringers nipping at the "hoofs" of the starters... being hungry to perform and battling for position on the field

Jimmy also liked to jaw as does Toney. Weird thing is you never see the OL or DL do it and that's where there should happen....on every play. Never played organized football, but you shouldn't want to mess with any of those guys.
