    Torn ACL.

Some AB Karma for a speedy recovery.

And let's hope we can do it playing small ball this year.

This sucks, for him personally as well as the team and the fans. I was starting to get my hopes up that we'd have a halfway decent frontcourt this season.

That sucks big time...I was just reading the article about how T-H was vastly improved.

Ouch. Hope he gets better and can come back strong next year. Who's going to step up for us? Let's see it.

I am sick of this come back next year ****. This was our year. Higgins is a senior, Burks is headed to the NBA, Relphorde is gone. All we needed was a decent big man presence and we would be one of the better teams in the Big 12 and then this **** happens.

My guess is we will go small ball (3 guards / 2 forwards) and may still try to redshirt Mills. We'll have some matchup problems, but we'll cause some too.

Dufault needs to step up and Roberson needs to make an impact as a freshman. But my expectations for this season have not changed.

This season isn't lost. For Tunks, it is, so I hope he can come back next year. Yeah we lose some good players, but hopefully some other ones step up and we can pull in some good recruits. Don't throw away your hope for the bball team yet.

Combination of Dufault, Eckloff, and then the rest of the team helping out. Defense and rebounding should improve under Boyle, just now low post defense is even more of a question mark. Seems less likely now, but still hope they redshirt Mills.

Sucks to lose Harris-Tunks, hope his recovery goes well and he comes back strong next season.

Will be a good test for Boyle to see how he handles losing the big guy. If the plan was to run teams into the ground (at least at home), losing Tunks hopefully won't be as big a factor as if we were just gonna grind games out. I'm still pretty optimistic for the season, just wish we'd quit losing guys before the season even starts.

    Balls....

I think this means we can't redshirt Mills. Like somebody earlier said, this is our year to make some noise. We need to do whatever it takes to make a big splash so we can get a great recruiting class to fill in for all the guys we're about to lose next year. We don't need a super dominant presence down load to be successful this year, but we do need A presence.

Play to win now! Sucks for him, but it's good for him that he'll get a sense of Big12 play right off the bat. Hopefully he's a quick learner. Sure sucks to lose SH-T though.

    SH-T == chuckle

I'm hearing good things about Mills - kid needs some weight, but I didn't think he was going to redshirt even if Tunks got injured. This is all based on third-hand information from someone with good knowledge of team practices.

This sucks though...part of life. Still, you can get by okay with great guard play, and if Sharpe comes on strong, we'll still make a push at the NCAAs. Tunks would have helped a lot though.

Go figure.... and after he put on 25 pounds in the offseason. Guess this means Ben Mills definitely won’t be redshirting now.

    What next for our athletics?
