    They were smart. Sell shares to cheeseheads and don't give them any votes like a normal shareholder would have.

    That being said, I'm sure I'd buy one if my team did that.

    I don't know what Nash is even suggesting.

    The only thing I can think of would be for the Buff Club to become so powerful that a steering committee was able to direct the activities of the athletic department.

    I do believe that it would be great if we bought in to a higher degree and wielded more influence. However, I think that booster-run athletic departments turn college sports into something that deviates from the real mission of universities and are responsible for many of the problems we see.

    You are forgetting something, this would likely get Beer back at the football and basketball games (and not just in the club rooms), although it could also lead to more hookers and blow...
