Six from Big 12 on watch for Biletnikoff

Six players from the Big 12 made the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to college football's best receiver.

The last Big 12 receiver to take home the award was Texas Tech's Michael Crabtree in 2008--and 2007.

Texas A&M's Jeff Fuller and Texas Tech's Alex Torres are glaring omissions. No excuse for those two not to be on this list. Boise State put two players on the watch list. Houston landed three. A&M and Tech should have landed a pair, too. Fuller missed four games with a broken leg, and finished the season with under 600 yards receiving, but the injury and his finish to the season (13 receptions, 232 yards, 3 TD in two games) should have provided enough notice for him to find a spot.

Broyles should be one of the favorites for the award, and should see his 1,120 yards from 2009 grow with a more experienced quarterback in sophomore Landry Jones. Broyles also missed almost two complete games with a fractured shoulder blade. He's the only player in the conference with a 1,000-yard receiving season during his career.
