Good news to me...the ship looks to be turning around. Wish it were faster, but these things take time.

What about scoring offense (including RZ) and defense?

    Some context as well.

    Total Offense (ypg) TDS
    COLORADO 88 (377.8) 24
    Utah 61 (418.3) 30
    WSU 62 (417.1) 34
    USC 77 (391.9) 28
    Stanford 79 (389.6) 33

    Total Defense (YPG) TD's Allowed
    COLORADO 108 (467.5) 38
    Utah 66 (393.4) 24
    WSU 102 (453.1) 37
    CAL 122 (529.8) 49

Offense is not as far behind in the conference as I had previously thought. Defense is another matter entirely.

I think these stats will improve, especially the defensive ones. We've already played Oregon-ASU-AZ-UCLA, i.e. the teams who have been putting up pinball numbers on offense consistently.

Maybe. Will, desire, and momentum can turn the tide.

That being said, being hoped for...

All the teams we have yet to play are respectively ranked higher than us in total offense and total defense. Except for Cal whose total defense ranking is lower. In other words, it doesn't look good for us on paper.

Don't feel bad. You see our defense? Larger holes than a baby boomer hooker.

Cry me a river (although your example is at least imaginative, if damn scary). The Nubs are 6-2 and 3-1 in conference and still in the hunt for a conference championship. We haven't won a conference game in over a year and are losing by an average of like 4 touchdowns in that time frame.

damn nubs always get the tough games at home - then get luck in a road game or two, I don't get it.

The only thing we are in the hunt for is the LegalZoom.com - Imported Canadian Cedar Bowl...or something along those lines

They are, but that doesn't mean they're anywhere near as good on offense like Oregon, Oregon State, ASU, UA, or UCLA are. People aren't expecting to beat anyone other than Cal, I'm not sure what you're trying to get at.

Except the first five got to play us and pad their stats...

Nah I see us playing much much batter down this final stretch and improving our overall rankings in O and D. I hope we play well this weekend, but I actually am excited to see our guys perform in those last three more than any final three games in a season for a while...

    With a five degree rudder.
Would rather see a hard left with a flank bell on, but it is what it is - better than last year (so far)

Total yardage by itself is a meaningless metric.

    2012 CU Scoring RZ Defense - 117
    2013 CU Scoring RZ Defense - 59

    2012 CU Scoring RZ Offense - 94
    2013 CU Scoring RZ Offense - 81

    2012 CU Scoring Defense - 120
2013 CU Scoring Defense - 117 (we've given up 46 TDs and they've only gone for 13 FGS? WTF?!?)

    2012 CU Scoring Offense - 117
    2013 CU Scoring Offense - 90

We've made some improvements. If we can gradually increase like this year after year it'll take a good 4 years to get to be back to bowling.

    Do you feel better now?

I agree they are getting better. I still tune knowing they will lose. Last year I did not. It might be 4 years before we go bowling again but I sure hope not.

To me it kinda shows that offenses are scoring at will not in the red-zone. Gashers as the HaLk would say. That seems like that is something that could be corrected with better athletes and better fundamentals.

I do notice the team surges to the runner and gang tackles. Overall I'd say our tackling is better than last year. Not great, but better.
