some free public options, like the 29th Street Mall would be an easy walk to the Creek Path and to Folsom.

FYI:

Please be aware that Boulder will be hosting a football game Thursday,
September 18th. Traffic will be congested. Here are a few hints for
getting to and from campus:


CU vs West Virginia University - kickoff at 6:30 p.m.

Colorado & 18th Closed Through Campus

Campus will be closed to through traffic from the visitor booth near the
stadium to 18th Street and Euclid Avenue near Imig Music from 2:30 p.m.
Until post-game traffic has ended. Please do not wait for a bus after
2:30
p.m. On Colorado Avenue between Folsom and 18th Streets and on 18th
Street
between Colorado Avenue and Euclid Avenue.


Transit Detours

The Stampede, 209, J and Buff Buses routes will detour through campus at
Colorado Avenue/Regent Drive and at Broadway/Regent Drive after
3 p.m., http://www.colorado.edu/pts/downloads/rtd_detours.pdf.
The HOP will detour also but it will not go through campus at all:
http://www.colorado.edu/pts/downloads/hop_football.pdf.

The last J to Longmont on its regular schedule will depart 16th Street/
Broadway at 2:15 p.m. to accommodate employees leaving campus at 2 p.m.
Starting at 3 p.m. all buses that normally go through campus on Colorado
Avenue and 18th Street will detour at Colorado and Regent and at
Broadway
and Regent.


Take Transit to the Game

Two extra buses will run from the Broomfield park-n-Ride to Boulder
starting
at 3:30 p.m. RTD's BuffRide will operate from park-n-Rides throughout
the
metro area as they do on all game days. BuffRide fees are $3.50 to $8.00
depending on the route (www.RTD-denver.com, SpecialRides).


Campus Parking

Campus parking for this evening game will be limited to students
attending
classes, game day operations, campus essential operations, and campus
permit
holders. Parking attendants will assist. Campus permit holders whose
lots
will be affected by game day operations have been notified about
alternate
places to park on September 17 and/or 18. If you are a permit holder and
have not been directed to another lot, please park in your lot as usual.
Campus permit holders who attend the game will be allowed to park in
campus
lots if space is available.

Persons with disabilities may park at Euclid AutoPark and take a shuttle
to
the stadium starting at 4:30 p.m.


Public Parking

Public parking will be available 1) in a temporary lot west of Foothills
Parkway and Colorado Avenue (free); 2) at Twenty Ninth Street mall
(free);
and 3) in downtown parking garages (free after 7 p.m.) Any CU employee
who
chooses to park away from campus on the 18th may also park in the
temporary
lot west of Foothills Parkway and Colorado Avenue.


--The Stampede will operate along Colorado Avenue on its regular
schedule
from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Please show your Eco Pass if you ride the
Stampede;

--Special Buff Bus shuttles for this game will operate between the
temporary
lot near Colorado Avenue/Discovery Drive and the stadium from 2 p.m.
until

--The HOP will run from the north end of Twenty Ninth Street to and from
campus before and after the game at no charge. Please show your Eco Pass
if
you ride;

--The Skip will bring game attendees along Broadway to the campus and
take
them back to the downtown area after the game. The rate is $1.75 per
ride.
The Skip will be free to campus employees with their Eco Pass.
