Sounds like a pretty good sized WSU contigent coming to town for the game

You may be right, but I also remember you guys coming to Folsom in 2002. The single most obnoxious fan I have ever encountered at any sporting event was a Wazzu guy. He's lucky he was sitting on the west side or he probably would have gotten his ass kicked that day.

Not every fan base can be as classy as we are, rino. Cut some slack. :wink2:

You Coug fans be sure to bring some sunscreen. It's gonna be a little warm tomorrow and the Colorado sun catches tourists by surprise sometimes.

Who do you guys love more Leaf or Bledsoe?

Bledsoe is a unblieveable guy, he that nice of a person. Three guys that are loved like no other at WSU are Bledsoe Jack Thompson and Jason Gesser.

I played against Bledsoe in HS, god was he good. There were some big time QB's that played during the 80's in my league that went on to places like UW, WSU, Houston, and Michigan, but he was the best I have ever seen in HS. He was a bigger Kellen Moore as Derw's dad was a QB and WR guru just like Kellen's dad. Walla Walla had a coach there for years that tossed the ball and he brought in NFL guys in the summer for a big WR, QB camp(like Fred Balitnikoff type guys). Drew was around that stuff, since he could hold a football. My dad and his dad have known one another for years as they coached against each other from about the mid 70's to mid 90's. They left Walla Walla and moved to my home town after Drew graduated. All coaches from HS's would go over to his parents place, has out the HS game from Friday and watch the Partriots game on the dish on Sundady's in their garage. I went a couple of times when I was home from college, it was pretty fun.

Thanks for saving the ****** Bledsoe for CU. Did he ever even get in a game?

**** bledsoe. Apparently there are no cougs fans that are also cowboys fans.

Seriously, the Pac-12 is amazing. I doubt there's one Big XII team fan base I would take over any of the Pac-12 fan bases.

I'm not so sure about that. I'm prepared for an absolute ****storm of bad fans when CU plays in Tempe in a month.

His little brother was the starter for the other HS in my town as his dad was the QB coach. There was a ton of pressure on that kid to live up to his brother. He was a good HS QB, but noting like his Drew. I always thought he would have been a great tight as I coached aginast him a couple of times for my dad before I left for WSU to go to back to school.

Here is the kind of person Drew is, just a class story. It was the big rivalry game and Bledsoe was home as the Patriots had a bye. My dad's school lost in double OT in a nasty 35 degree rainstorm, to said Adam Bledsoe. Just a game where you poured your heart out, if you have played FB you know. After the game his team was heading for the bus back across town and Mac Bledsoe stopped my dad and said, "Hey Drew wants to speak to your team." About 5 min later Bledsoe is standing in the isle of the school bus in a rainstorm on a Friday night in Central Washington talking to a bunch of HS kids. My dad will never forget that.

so, in terms of uw fans, when skippy left CU to go to seattle, the boards were innundated by a huge number of really ****** uw fans who were telling us how superior their program was to ours. they were horrible and they didn't stop for months and months. CU fans kept telling them, over and over, to just wait and see what happens with skippy. of course, he proved us right in spectacular fashion. only a handful of the obnoxious uw fans came back and apologized.

we do have a resident uw poster here and he's a good guy. like every fanbase, there are good and bad... we've got some decent sooner posters here too and even one or 2 fusker fans that aren't at the level of dumbassery as the rest of the fusker nation...

Yeah, it was damn funny how that whole deal worked out. We warned them. They didn't listen. We were right.

You guys are gonna love us, then unfortuately in about 3 weeks you will meet the Huskies and you will think Oklahoma or Texas traded their colors for Purple and Urine.

All you have to do is hand us a beer and we will be your best friends, unless we start losing.

We typically get decent showings from every fan base (relative to how they travel, of course). We were one of two decent places to visit in the Big XII, and while I know much of the Pac-12 won't match the intensity with which some Big XII schools travel, there's still going to be good showings with the attraction of Boulder + transients in Denver. Hope you Cougs enjoy your time in Boulder except for the result of the game, and as someone mentioned, bring sunscreen -- you'll be surprised. Should be fantastic football weather tomorrow.

Side note: Wazzu might be my favorite Pac-12 fan base thus far.

Wazzu fans still have a way to go in my eyes.

Will never forget the spit shower my wife, me, my 5-year old twins (at the time) 1 year old, mom, dad, and sister received after we beat them in Seahawk Stadium in 2004. ****ers were spitting on us from the top of the stadium. We also got a couple of sideways spits from a-holes on ground level along with a slew of expletives yelled at us when we left the stadium.

And unbelivably - I hadn't done anything to egg those jerks on - we were lucky to win that game.

Wazzu still has a ways to go. I think we are not seeing the norm with cougfan99 here - he is definitely an anomaly from my experience.

I am sure they will as the weather finally crapped out in Washington this last week. It was 98 when we played UNLV, could not even force down a beer that day, ugh.

Also Rickey and that AD were the best thing to ever happen to UW football. They have not been worth a crap since about 1996, when she arrived.

At first I was disappointed DD hasn't been around all week. Now it's just starting to piss me off... :pissed:

Well he still isn't around, but I'll let him know.

cougfan does have a point though...DD did go to another college other that UW, but he did go to med school at UW so not completely sure he made his point. And he has been a mute fan since birth.

I laugh when I read the things coug fans are saying about UW. I have absolutely no idea how Buff fans will ultimately perceive UW fans - we'll know more soon. I do know that the way DD talks about coug fans is eerily similar to the way CU fans talk about rammies.

I keep telling DD that CU fans will someday be perceived as the worst fans in the PAC (credit where credit is due - Nubs are trying their "classiest fan" best to get the word out apparently), but he assures me Oregon will always have that title.

And a bit off topic - I was disappointed to see that I wasn't the brilliant one who came up with mutes as a nickname for UW. :sad2:

We did receive some of the Coug cheese as a Christmas present from friends of my inlaws right before the Apple Cup. DD was steamed (they have a nice friendly smack talk session before each AC), but I thought it was nice.

My son said he saw about 50 wsu fans at the beer festival last night. Surely they only came to Colorado for the beer?

That is why I hate it when WSU plays a game in Seattle. The type of loser crowd was at our game against Baylor and our Game against Oklahoma State when we played there. Those folks are the once a year Cougs that would never put out the effort to drive 600 miles round trip to Pullman for a game. It wish they would scrap the Seattle game all together, but we play Oregon State here in about a month as it is a huge money generator for WSU. There were some real dirtbags at those games and I am not surprised you took that abuse. It just does not happen in Pullman uless your are wearing a purple shirt or walk through Greek Row after the Busch Light is flowing like wine. Yes sad to say our beer of choice is Busch Light(Pullman Water). Believe or not but Pullman sells more Busch Light than any place in the United States. I think is is like 3-5% of the total output per year.

Seriously though it is so damn hard to get to Pullman for a game that usually our fans are pretty welcoming you made the effort.

Who spits (ice) from the upper deck of a stadium?? Seriously.

Who spits (ice) from the upper deck of a stadium?? Seriously.

many years ago, when disneyland still had the gondola ride over the top of it, i saw a huge samoan dude get spit on from one of the gondolas above. i was walking behind the samoan dude. samoan dude then followed the gondola car that the spitter was in. he followed it all the way to the exit point. he waited the group of guys to come down the ramp. then, he punched the biggest one in the face. dropped him cold. then he grabbed the other 2 guys who were in the gondola car and put them in headlocks. security came running within about 15 seconds and had all of them, including the samoan, face down on the ground within a minute or so. a security guy asked us if we saw what happened. we told the story. security nodded and let the samoan guy go. they escorted the gondola guys out, who had to basically carry the guy who got punched out. this kind of frontier justice would never be allowed these days.
