Yeah, but he couldn't even hold up his shield. How's a phalanx supposed to work then. His father didn't even explain the Spartan playbook before he tried to walk.
Laurinaitis wasn't a walk on.
They should have taken him IMO, I heard he runs good routes and works really hard in practice. Just because he cant hold up a shield, contribute to a win, or pose any sort of threat to the enemy does not mean that he doesn't deserve to be at the critical point of the phalanx.
