It just goes to show how important football is.

Failing there dwarfs all of these other accomplishments in terms of how the general public perceives the CU athletic department.

P.S. I think the Women's Golf program is coming off a trip to the NCAAs too, with the Men expected to be there this spring.

ONLY because the University/Athletic Department/local Media lets these minor triumphs (except basketball) go relatively un-noticed. This is the first year you could purchase a CU Pac-12/XC Nat'l Champ T-shirt anywhere, despite having previously won the Pac twice and always placing highly in the NCAAs! At basketball games instead of throwing BB T's into the already large crowd, throw differnt sports recognition T's.

In a "runners" state like Colorado, that should be HUGE, but its been little noted. Even the NC ski team's efforts are under-appreciated, due to lack of "noise" about them.

Accen-tuate the POSITIVE! Continue to work on FB. It will come back strong, if people believe in student-athletes/University as a whole.

I noticed that our overall departmental W/L record (it's good--thank God football is only a small percentage of it) for Fall sports was one of Mr. George's recent talking points.
