Stanford vs USC

When Stanford is working how do you stop them. Commit to stop the running game and Luck play actions you to death, commit to stopping Luck and they just run you over.

USC has played them well and Stanford still scored 34 in regulation.

we are going to expose USC next week. Standford might fall for their gimmicks, but we won't.

I'm not sure which is worse. Losing at the end, in games we should have won (Cal, WSU) or getting absolutely hammered where it is clear the game is over before the end of the 1st quarter. They both suck.

I'd say losing at the end.

not being competitive in games is pretty embarrassing. Its been going on for 9 years now against elite competition save for 2 or 3 games.

I think college OT is fairer because both teams get a shot with the ball, NFL depends a lot on the coin flip.

On the other hand you play 60 minutes then completely change the rules. You take the special teams completely out of the game, long kickers, returners, etc.

My preference would be an NFL style system except each team guaranteed possession.

college OT is so gimmicky. I hate it.

Whaaaa?

I don't know how you can call college OT gimmicky. Each team has the same opportunity to win the game. I think college OT is fantastic. The NFL can learn some things from the college game. Overtime is one of them.
