StatSheet projects Colorado as a bubble team for the NCAA Tournament with potentially an eight seed. The Buffaloes are unranked in the AP Poll and sit at #33 in the StatSheet StatRank with an 11-6 overall record and a 1-4 record in the Pac 12.
During the last four games, Colorado registered a win against USC but also struggled mightily with losses to RPI #51 Washington and AP #24 UCLA.
Colorado is sub-par against strong competition, with a 4-6 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes a 2-4 record against the RPI Top 50 and an 0-3 record against AP ranked teams. The Buffaloes have two quality wins including RPI #25 Colorado State and RPI #36 Baylor with no bad losses.
The last four teams into the NCAA Tournament with at-large bids are Arizona State (14-3, 3-1 Pac 12, StatRank #58), Maryland (14-3, 2-2 ACC, StatRank #70), Washington (12-5, 4-0 Pac 12, StatRank #52), and La Salle (12-4, 2-1 A-10, StatRank #38).
The first four teams out are Brigham Young (14-5, 4-1 West Coast, StatRank #45), Kentucky (11-5, 2-1 SEC, StatRank #65), Pittsburgh (14-4, 2-3 Big East, StatRank #64), and Rutgers (12-4, 3-2 Big East, StatRank #54).
The next four out are Iowa (12-5, 1-3 Big Ten, StatRank #76), St. John's (10-7, 2-3 Big East, StatRank #69), Saint Louis (12-4, 1-1 A-10, StatRank #50), and Villanova (11-6, 2-2 Big East, StatRank #67).
