StatSheet projects Colorado on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament with potentially a seven seed. The Buffaloes are unranked in the AP Poll and sit at #31 in the StatSheet StatRank with a 14-6 overall record and a 4-4 record in the Pac 12.
During its last four games, Colorado held its own with wins against California, Stanford, and Washington State but also stumbled with a bad loss to RPI #172 Utah.
Colorado is below average against top competition, with a 5-6 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes a 2-3 record against the RPI Top 50 and an 0-2 record against AP ranked teams. While the Buffaloes have two quality wins including RPI #21 Colorado State and RPI #38 Baylor, they're also hampered by a bad loss to RPI #172 Utah.
The last four teams into the NCAA Tournament with at-large bids are Rutgers (12-8, 3-6 Big East, StatRank #59), Brigham Young (18-6, 8-2 West Coast, StatRank #36), Iowa State (15-6, 5-3 Big 12, StatRank #41), and Villanova (13-8, 4-4 Big East, StatRank #57).
The first four teams out are Alabama (14-7, 6-2 SEC, StatRank #67), Indiana State (14-8, 7-4 Missouri Valley, StatRank #56), Maryland (16-6, 4-5 ACC, StatRank #69), and Southern Miss (17-4, 6-0 C-USA, StatRank #45).
The next four out are Saint Louis (16-5, 5-2 A-10, StatRank #55), Stanford (13-8, 4-4 Pac 12, StatRank #68), Virginia (15-5, 5-2 ACC, StatRank #92), and Virginia Commonwealth (17-5, 5-2 A-10, StatRank #46).
