Sums it up

You know its bad in the Norte when Baylor has as many first team all big-12 players as CO&NU have 1st and 2nd teamers COMBINED.

Want to know why Bradford is tearing it up. Of the five o-lineman, three 1st teamers, two second teamers and the worst of the five was honorable mention. O-line is what makes the world go round.

Trooo dat. Anyone can find the open receiver if they have all day in the pocket, not to mention a good running game that helps open up the passing game.

Why couldn't Loadholt get his **** together to get into CU? Dammit, I hate to see that. 1st team all Big 12 and he wanted to be a Buff...:sad2::confused:

Which is exactly why we need to make O-line recruiting a priority again this year.

Anyone feel that Josh Smith should have at least got honorable mention as a punt returner/kick returner. he only led the league in return yards and was the only player in the Big 12 to rank in the top 5 in yards/return for both punts and kickoffs?

O-line is certainly a requirement but I think you are discounting the importance of QB here. Bradford owes some success to his OL but to suggest that you can just throw any guy back there and they will succeed isn't really accurate IMO. Same with WR's - they have big time players at that position.

I also think Robert Griffin illustrates that a great QB can be productive behind not the best OL. Baylor's wasn't horrible but it certainly was far from dominant.

Oklahoma only had 3 honorable mention too and look where they're at... we're on the right track! Aren't we.... Oh....

javorskie lane? are there only 2 fullbacks in the Big XII? (a possibility, I grant you)....but everytime i read Aggie boards they were all talking about how he never played.

It's hardly something to distress about. Let's face it, this conference was so strong this year you shouldn't be surprised to see who dominated the All conference selections...

We're on our way, no worries..

Stewart would have likely been 2nd team RB if he had stayed healthy....

Agreed...Smith should have gotton at least honorable mention for KR/PR, if not 2nd team...

So what about our honors this year...lets think about next year

This is what I envision

1st - Jimmy Smith CB (Trust me on this one)
1st - Josh Smith KR/PR (At least two or three PR/KR for six next year)

2nd - Shaun Mohler LB (He is gonna be good next year)
2nd - Darrell Scott RB (Trust me on this one two...he will be a beast)
2nd - Ryan Miller RT (Certainly talented enough)

Chap, Herrod, Stewart, J-Fly (WR), and Smart all have a shot at honorable mention next year...

It will get better
