[FONT=Cambria, serif]BOULDER - The University of Colorado women's tennis team opens the 2013 spring season at the Long Beach State Tennis Winter Invitational from Friday to Sunday at the Rhodes Tennis Center. Matches on all three days will begin at 11 a.m. (MST).[/FONT] [FONT=Cambria, serif]Action begins on Friday, as Long Beach State will play Colorado in doubles, before facing Nevada in singles.

Saturday, the 49ers will play New Mexico in doubles before taking on the Buffaloes in singles. Finally, on Sunday, CU will play New Mexico.
[/FONT]
[FONT=Cambria, serif]Play will begin each day at the Rhodes Tennis Center at 10 a.m. with doubles on as many as eight courts, and then singles will follow the conclusion of play each day, fully utilizing the 12 courts of the Rhodes Tennis Center. [/FONT]
[FONT=Cambria, serif]The round robin tournament is the last tune up for the Buffaloes before dual play begins Jan. 27 when CU travels to the Air Force Academy. The Buffs open the spring season at home Feb. 2 against Stephen F. Austin (11 a.m.) and Northern Colorado on Feb. 3 (10 a.m.). Both home matches will be played at the Millennium Hotel Harvest House bubble.[/FONT]
[FONT=Cambria, serif]The 2013 roster features youth on head coach Nicole Kenneally's roster with only one senior (Erin Sanders). CU has three juniors (Winde Janssens, Carla Manzi Tenorio, Mattison Sperry); two sophomores (Julyette Steur, Ashley Tiefel); and three freshmen (Dhanielly Quevedo, Mazy Watrous, Laura Wegleitner).[/FONT]
