What are your top 10 CU players who have been drafted? Meaning who had the best NFL careers?

Joel Steed and Ted Johnson need to be in that list.

Brown should be higher in that list since it's based on NFL careers.

I would have Pritchard and Charles Johnson in there as well.

Who was the CU running back who ended up a career backup for many years as an Indianapolis Colt ? He lasted longer in the NFL than I ever thought he would. Dang it... my mind is going. I can't remember his name.

Lamont Warren. He started the AFC Championship game for the Colts vs. Steelers.

Byron White had a great professional career. Not professional football, however.

That would be Leon "Baby Bull" White.

Byron "Whizzer" White had an outstanding career too...

You can see where the confusion might come from, given the similarity in their post-football careers.... :smile2:

Of course, the original argument stands. Byron White had a tremendous professional career, just not in professional football!

    I'm such an idot.

    1. Whizzer only played 3 years in the NFL prior to WWII, but he was all-pro in two of them... I think he's got to get the benefit of the doubt here as far as what he could have done given the opportunity.

    2. I think we can all agree on your last point.... :smile2:

I always liked Rae. A foot injury sidelined him his 2nd year after he led all rookie WRs in catches & yards his first year. I've decided that will forever be the endpoint of my Carruth memory. I know not of which you speak. :wink2:
