Based on RPI, the polls have the following notable differences:

Too Low
Kansas (SOS not valued enough)
Wisconsin
UCLA
Ohio State

Too High
SDSU (by about 10 spots)
Cincinnati (see SDSU)
Louisville (#32 RPI)
Iowa (#48 RPI)

Left Out
Oklahoma (7 votes in AP, 31 in Coaches - good for #26 so about right)
VCU (2 votes in AP, 1 in Coaches)

Ran across this today, thought it was kind of interesting. Todd Fuhrman, a former book maker at Caesars and now at Don's Best did a bracket Vegas Power Ranking Bracket. CU would not be in Vegas' top 64 or in the first 4 out. (based purely on power rankings). Arizona, UCLA, ASU, Oregon, Cal, Stanford and Utah would all get in based on power rankings.

Wisconsin is stupid low in the AP. They are on a 5 game win streak and just won @ #15 Michigan and @ #15 Iowa (huh?) and move up two spots. Syracuse loses two games and drops three spots. It is like the polls don't want to punish Syracuse and Duke for losing so teams like Virginia (who are on an 11 game win streak) can move up.

Painful. I've heard some noise about the selection committee not weighting RPI as heavily this season (although that's been said in the past as well). Hopefully, this is not the season the really begin. That is really our saving grace right now.

As much as I'd like to ignore them, I'd certainly give a Don Best bookmaker or Ken Pomeroy much more weight than any poll or RPI/BPI (or even Sagarin) calculation. The sources that I'd trust the most don't really think much of us.
