After two grueling days competing on the track and in the field, University of Colorado junior Abrianna Torres came away with an eighth place finish in the women's heptathlon on Thursday at Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.

Torres finished with a score of 5,321 points, which was just 36 points off her personal best. The time also puts her eighth on the NCAA outdoor performance list. Arkansas’ Alexis Gochenour won the event with 6,027 points.

Congrats to Ms. Torres. Being so near a personal best this early in the season is a good indication she's primed for a potentially great season.
