The track and field team is back in action today when they travel to Fort Collins for the Jack Christiansen Invitational hosted by CSU. I guess it started yesterday, but it wasn't on cubuffs.com so I don't know if they had anyone competing.

The Invitational will kick off at 2 p.m. MT on Friday with the men’s hammer throw, followed by the women. Friday will consist of only the hammer throw event. Saturday, events kick off at 10 a.m. for both the track and field events beginning with the women’s discus throw and the men’s 5,000-meter run. There will not be a heptathlon or decathlon contested this year.

Held at the Jack Christiansen Outdoor Track, the meet location sits at the corner of Pitkin and College.

Admission is free on both days. Parking is available in lots north and south of the track, but is free on Saturday only. Free parking on Friday can be found on the east side of College Avenue.
