Tried out the new chili recipe tonight.

    6 slices of bacon
    1.5 pounds of ground beef
    1 pound of hot italian sausage
    12 oz tomato paste
    2 cans of beer
    three dried chili peppers, crushed
    2 jalapeno peppers, seeded & diced
    one green bell pepper
    one red bell pepper
    one yellow onion
    three cloves of garlic, minced
    1.5 tsp chili powder
    .5 tsp of salt
    three dashes of cayenne pepper
    One can of chili beans.

    brown bacon & set aside.
    combine italian sausage & ground beef in a large skillet. Brown, drain, and set in a chili pot. Cut bacon into small pieces & add to pot.
    chop & combine green pepper, red pepper, and onion. Saute in 2 tbsp of olive oil. Add garlic & jalapeno peppers & saute a little longer (1-2 minutes).
    Add crushed chili peppers & onion/pepper combo to the chili pot. Add chili pepper, salt, cayenne pepper. Stir to incorporate.
    add beer & stir. Add tomato paste & stir. Bring to a boil. Let simmer for 90 minutes, covered. Stirring occassionally.
    Add chili beans & let simmer for an additiona 30 minutes, covered.
