UGA 12 point favorites vs Tennessee this weekend.. WTF?

Am I missing something? Tennessee played well against LSU and obviously lost a heartbreaker, but 12 points is a ton! Tennessee has a win again Middle Tennessee & OT win vs UAB. Losses vs FLA, Oregon & @ LSU.

I have a feeling Vegas is setting this up as a trap game... get everyone to bet on Tennessee & UGA wins by 14. I'll fall into that trap....

I'd give the points here. I think UGA is a different team with AJ Green in there, I think they'll beat Tennessee and Florida.

The UGA team I saw was good, but certainly not great. If they are a middle of the road SEC team, then the SEC has fallen on some hard times. That's hard to believe when the last four MNC's have come from there.

Tennessee is bad this year and so is LSU... I think it is a trap game for Vegas tho

Georgia's going to right the ship this week. They were ranked in the preseason for a reason (#21 Coaches / #23 AP). They're a super talented team with a young quarterback. That QB is starting to come into his own and he finally has AJ Green back. Also, don't discount how important it was for them to get Shaun Chapas back at fullback. He was out for the 3 previous losses and then had 5 carries for 22 yards plus 4 catches for 20 yards and a TD against us. He's a difference maker for them, too.

Prediction:

Dawgs beat Tennessee and Vandy the next 2 weeks in Athens, then take care of Kentucky on the road in Lexington. This gets them to 4-4 and gets them back on the right track.

They'll also beat Idaho State and Georgia Tech. So I'm seeing at least a 6-6 season with a bowl appearance for Georgia. And it wouldn't surprise me if they took out Florida at home and/or Auburn on the road to go 7-5 or 8-4.

I'll be rooting for the Dawgs from here on out. They did a good job in simmering my SEC hate, for now at least.

I'm not too surprised by Tennessee going down to Baton Rouge and nearly pulling the upset because that tends to happen not only in the SEC but in conference play in general. And Tennessee wasn't that good last year either and they nearly won in Tuscaloosa.
