Thursday is a big day for Buffaloes basketball as UNLV takes on Colorado in the NCAA Tournament. It takes place at 9:57 EST and you can see it on truTV. UNLV is a Top 25 team, ranked #23, so Colorado will need to pull out all the stops in its first game against a nationally-ranked team. The Buffaloes are 23-11 overall. The Rebels have a record of 26-8.
UNLV has a slim advantage in this game. RPI follows this logic, as the Rebels have an advantage in the rankings, #19 to #65.
UNLV has a statistical edge over Colorado in two areas. The first is assists, where the Rebels are ahead, 17 per game to 11 per game. UNLV is also better at scoring, 76 pts/game to 67 pts/game.StatSmack! Colorado is better than UNLV
