USA Volleyball's first significant international women's volleyball tournament this year is coming up late this month in Montreaux France. They have named a 20 person preliminary roster consisting of players with experience with the US Womens national Team and professional play with international clubs plus a couple of rookies to the USA National program plus 2 players who are still in college....Ebony Nwanebu from USC and Taylor Simpson from our Buffs.!! Congratulations Taylor. The final team to actually make the trip to France will be 14 players selected from this group. Good luck Taylor.

Great news and Congratulations to Taylor!!! Hopefully she can make the roster to go to France.

This is what CU volleyball posted on Facebook today.

Congratulations to Buff outside hitter Taylor Simpson who has recently been named to the expanded roster for Team USA in Montreaux Volley Masters. Taylor is currently in Anaheim training with the national team for her second stint this year. She is accompanied by many competitive standouts that play professionally throughout the world. More updates to come throughout her training with Team USA, and as she prepares for the PAC-12 All-Star Tour in China this June! Very proud of you Tay! Keep up the hard work!

From what I have seen, it looks like Taylor did not make the final roster. But still great for her to have even made it this far and I'm sure she got some good training and experience at the National Team camp that she can apply this fall at CU.
