BOULDER – With the 2014-15 women’s golf season around the corner, the University of Colorado Buffaloes are hard at work during summer competitions.

Soon-to-be sophomore Natalie Vivaldi recently took home the trophy at the San Diego City Amateur Championship. Vivaldi finished the 54-hole stroke play competition with a score of 17-over par 233 (79-77-77). The Oceanside, Calif. native began the tournament shooting par on 11 holes at San Diego’s Balboa Golf Course. Vivaldi shot 5-over par on the second day, held at the Torrey Pines North Course, once again having 11 pars, and making a birdie on the 411-yard, par-4 No. 13. Four shots off the lead going in the final round, Vivaldi would get her chance at the championship playing at Pines’ South Course for the first time of her young career.
