Volleyball: CU Buffs beat Oregon State to snap skid

Colorado got back on the winning track Sunday.The Buffaloes' volleyball team defeated Oregon State in four sets 25-20, 15-25, 26-24, 25-22, snapping a four-match skid.

Buffs are now 14-10 (4-8).

Solidly in the mix for that .500 or better record we were hoping for this season as the big barrier to break through in the rebuilding effort.

A .500 overall finish at this point would be amazing to me. The VB teams final 8 matches are nasty. And to finish at .500 overall, they will have to win 2 of these final 8 matches. Only 2 at home and 6 on the road. The 2 at home are against top 10 and defending national champ UCLA and top 10 USC. Of the 6 on the road, there are a couple possible wins but the team has not won a PAC 12 match on the road yet.

Watch on Pac 12 networks. Came from behind in sets 3 and 4. They are learning how to play under pressure.

I think we have a good shot to finish over .500. The remaining 8 games in order are: WSU, UW, UCLA, USC, UA, ASU, SU, and Utah. The games that we really don't have a chance in are against UW, UCLA, USC, and Stanford. The other 4 I think are very winnable. WSU is 0-11, UA is 4-8, ASU is 3-8, Utah is 3-8 and we are 3-8 in conference. The downside is that they are all on the road. If we can pull of these wins, we might be able to catch Cal for 6th place.
