Volleyball Hosts Intra-Squad Scrimmage

BOULDER—The University of Colorado volleyball team will host an intra-squad scrimmage on Saturday, August 24, at the Coors Events Center. The scrimmage is free and open to the public.

The team just returned to Boulder after spending several days training at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The Buffs will open their 2013 season August 30 and 31 with the Omni Hotels Colorado Volleyball Classic against St. Mary’s (Calif.) at 7 p.m. Both matches will be at the Coors Events Center and tickets are on sale now. Season tickets are available for just $25 which includes both matches against St. Mary’s and 10 Pac-12 Conference matches. Tickets can be purchased online at CUBuffs.com or by calling 303-49-BUFFS.

After CU hosts the Gaels in a pair of contests, the Buffs will hit the road for tournaments at Syracuse and Baylor. They will play Stony Brook, Oakland, Rutgers and host Syracuse at the Castlewood Invitational, Sept. 6-7, in Syracuse, N.Y. CU will travel to Waco, Texas, Sept. 13-14, for the Baylor Invitational. The Buffs will face Appalachian State, Northwestern State and former Big 12 foe Baylor.
