So the Buffs will go for their 2nd win of the day tonight at 7:00 against the Weber State Wildcats as the Omni Invitational continues.

About Weber State (from cubuffs.com tournament preview article):

"Weber State has a 3-5 record this season. The Wildcats started with three consecutive losses, before winning three in-a-row. After those wins, WSU lost another two straight. Three Wildcats are averaging over 2.00 kills per set. Amanda Varley leads the way with 2.97 and is followed by Tanisha Langston (2.55) and Megan Thompson (2.52). WSU is holding its opponents to a .148 hitting efficiency, while attacking at a .175 clip. Thamire Cavalcanti is recording 4.97 digs per set to lead the defense. At the net, three Wildcats are posting over 1.00 blocks per set: Thompson (1.52), Anne Corrigan (1.18) and Langston (1.00)."

Edit- Earlier today, Weber State lost a tough 5 setter at Air Force, so are now 3-6.

Good to see that Joslyn Hayes is in uniform tonight, and was involved in the early passing drills and serving practice before tonight's match. (She didn't participate in the final hitting drills, however, so would be surprised if she played.)

16-19 TO CU

Pretty much same lineup as earlier today, although they are using Carta-Samuels in back row for Austin from the beginning tonight.

Good win. Great to see Ciera get her 1000th career dig.

Either Austin was off her game or WS was avoiding her. Gabby played a great match.
