As I noted yesterday in the general 2022 off-season thread for women's basketball, the Buffs look to have received a verbal commitment from transferring 6'3" forward Aaronette Vonleh, who will be heading to Boulder after spending her freshman year at the Univ. of Arizona. Per the U of AZ roster page, she originally hails from West Linn, Oregon.

Again, welcome and congrats to her!

Just quoting that for more info-

I'd assume that one or both of the tweets from the team below refer to her commitment-

Here are her recruiting numbers out of high school:

She was the Oregon Gatorade Player of the Year out of high school

OFFICIAL welcome and congrats to her!

Edit - Article on her becoming a Buff - https://www.allbuffs.com/threads/buffs-add-arizona-transfer-vonleh.150774/

BOULDER – Head coach JR Payne and the Colorado women's basketball team lured its first transfer of the offseason, landing Aaronette Vonleh from Pac-12 rival Arizona on Wednesday.

"We are unbelievably excited to have Aaronette join our Colorado family," Payne commented on the new addition. "She is someone who comes to CU with both collegiate experience, as well as a strong desire to grow into the player that she is capable of being. Aaronette brings a low post presence with a great combination of size and skill that we need in the frontcourt. I believe she is capable of being an excellent player in the Pac-12 for the years to come."

Vonleh, a West Linn, Ore., native, played in 17 games as a freshman for the Wildcats. She averaged 4.1 points and 1.6 rebounds while shooting 61.5 percent from the field.

Vonleh's top offensive performance was in Arizona's 82-55 win at Northern Arizona. She led all players with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting. The 6-3 forward recorded four games with 10+ points but saw her minutes diminish in the Pac-12 season.

Vonleh was rated the No. 9 post player in the country by ESPN coming out of West Linn High School in 2021. She also garnered 2020-21 Oregon Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year honors after averaging 28.6 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. Vonleh shot 71.1 percent in her senior season and helped the Lions to a 13-4 record.

Vonleh's brother, Noah, played basketball at the University of Indiana and was the No. 9 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. He played seven seasons in the NBA with seven different teams. Her sister, Samnell, played at the University of Bridgeport and Saint Anselm College.
