Kudos to Alexis Robinson, Quinessa Caylao-Do and Peanut Tutiele
SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 Conference announced its women's basketball postseason awards on Tuesday. Colorado had three players, Alexis Robinson, Quinessa Caylao-Do and Peanut Tuitele, earn honorable mention.
Robinson, a senior from Ashland, Ky., picked up her second All-Pac-12 honorable mention. She averaged 12.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists in the regular season. She leads Colorado in 3-point shooting with 51 made this season. Robinson led the Buffs in scoring in the Pac-12 season with 14.4 points per game.
Robinson set a career-high with 33 points in CU's 64-60 loss to UCLA in Boulder. She has scored in double figures 16 times this season and has moved into 19th all-time on Colorado's scoring list (1,266). Robinson will finish her career in CU's top-20 in field goals made and is currently eighth in 3-point field goals made (182).
Caylao-Do, a native of Tacoma, Wash., garnered honorable mention All-Defensive honors. She has started all 29 games this season, totaling 31 steals and 11 blocks. She is averaging a career-high 4.2 rebounds per game, including 2.5 per game on the defensive glass. Caylao-Do recorded a career-high with eight rebounds in CU's first meeting with UCLA. She also led the Buffs in steals seven times this season, notching a career-high (4) at Washington.
Tuitele, a Chico, Calif., native, forced her way into CU's starting lineup after five games. She has started 19 of the 26 games she has appeared in this season, missing the three to injury. Tuitele scored a season-high 23 points in Colorado's 72-61 win over Washington State. She has hit double-figures in 10 games and is averaging 7.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
The Buffaloes will head to Las Vegas, Nev., for the Pac-12 Tournament on Thursday. Colorado, the No. 12 seed, will take on the No. 5 seed Arizona State (12:30 p.m. MT). The game will be the first of the day and will be available on the Pac-12 Network.
