fwiw, the "crab" incident showed a certain integrity from him. Was talking to a FSU booster last weekend who let me know that the Publix grocery store has had a long standing policy of allowing the FSU athletes to take a 5-finger discount. Winston got targeted for dong something they all do and have done for years. He took his lumps in the press (and a couple game suspension from baseball) without calling bull**** on the whole thing and blowing the improper benefits thing open.

Another teammate, Chris Casher, was found responsible for two violations of the school's student code of conduct and received one year of probation, according to the Wall Street Journal citing a person familiar with the matter.
