The Arizona Republic interviewed some Pac-12 assistants to get some insight into the July eval period. I saw this linked on the Rivals board and though you guys would be interested.

Q: How about intangibles?

Rohn: Players who play hard, regardless of the score. Up 10, down 10. First pool game, championship game, whatever. When does he play hard? Does he only play hard when it's a big game and there are 30 coaches in the gym? Or is he playing hard when it's an early game and there are only four? In July, you can really find out a lot about a guy.

That quote is so interesting because the CU staff has no problem taking chances on guys who have inconsistent motors at the HS level. But once they're in college...that's when you see this mindset really get put into practice.
