I don't think giving up 14 points during special teams is such a big deal in an otherwise tight game.![]()
Cannot agree. The kick return game looks nice and it was good to see the blocked FG, but giving up two TDs on special teams is bad, no way around it.
You complain too much, it was freaking texas! Athletes, we had the lead for 65% of that game in a game that most thought we would be toast by five miinutes in. Give some props for the team for the effort for christs sake!
Every time I think special teams are getting a bit better, we take several steps backward. Cannot give up three non-offensive TDs and expect to win a conference road game.

I'm happy with the effort. But come on man, the special teams and the offense have held back progress for several years now. At some point, just playing hard is not good enough.
Texas > Colorado
Pretty hard to hold your team's feet to the fire when comparing it to that recruiting/talent/coaching juggernaut.
I, for one, was absolutely giddy at the half time with the fact that we had the LEAD for an entire half. Against #2. Texas. I was ecstatic.
Bull, special teams did some good things last night. Don't roll your eyes at me, you don't know me!
They had some nice kick returns and they blocked a FG. Let's break out the champagne! Sorry if I think this team could be looking like a legit North contender if the special teams and offense were better.
On the one punt return for a TD, have to defend DiLallo on one point:
he could have made a tackle, but the ref got in the way. Matt absolutely was prevented by the official from getting to the returner.
I know, great special teams wouldn't have let it get that far that the punter is the last line of defense, but must have felt horrible for Matt trying to scoot around the zebra and not being able to get there.

north contender? sorry, the north is just a tad bit better than when brney was winning titles. however, even if it were that bad still, this team has no shot! im wondering if we win a game.
jasp, delallo never would have caught shipley.never ever ever. it did look like it to the clueless though
I don't think we're a North contender. I'm saying we would be if we had better offense and special teams. But that is not the case.
:lol:oh no, i have some negative rep, i think the point you were trying to make was that only if we had special teams we would be significantly better. i say way wrong

blocked punt was horrific. I watched the replay 3 times and the guy came untouched. The upback could easily have blocked him but lethim go... Coaching!
