Who are your top 3 CU football players and why?

Or Eric McCarty, who is now the team physician, and Denver Post Gold Helmet award winner.

Nice to see so much recognition and so many names.

The safe answer is: NC HC Bill McCartney, Heisman RB Rashaan Salaam, and Justice Byron Wizzer White.

But I am going with these three:
Joel Steed - Personal level - we attended same schools and many classes together from elementary through high school. He is a good guy and had a great college and NFL career. If not for the personal connection, Big Alfred Williams is the man.

Brian Cabral - Nobody has the longevity with the program. He has achieved amazing personal and professional accomplishments as a player and coach. His heart and soul are with CU through good times and bad.

Mason Crosby - All time CU scoring leader with 307 career points. He was money. Points count. Too bad Mason didn't play during a more successful era.

Honorable mention goes to Eric Bieniemy, second on all time scoring list with 254 career points and #1 on rushing list with 3,940 yards and 4,351 all purpose yards. Scooter is admittedly more fun to watch than some kicker, and he is also a Buff through and through. When it comes to offense, Kordell Stewart is pretty darn special, too, with 7,770 yards total offense.

Kara Gaucher, Jenny Simpson and Emma Coburn deserve to be recognized for dominating women's running over their careers at CU.

Brandon Drumm, how could you not respect the Alaskan Assasin. Hell of a Full Back.

Stumbled into his twitter account yesterday. Didn't know he now is an analyst covering OU (I hate OU).
