according to Kyle Ringo), who would you like to see coach our boys up front?
I'll go with Stan Brock. He has a very impressive resume and seems to be heading for some good things in coaching.
A thing about Brock is he will probably ask for a big contract. I wonder if we'll be able to meet his demands, and how that will affect the rest of the coaching staff (i.e. Hagan) .:saythat:
I have no idea who any of these people are, but I know an entertaining name when I see it. I'm going with the Mile High porn star.
brock to mentor bedell
and jewel denyle
What? What happened to "calling your shot" ???? :smile2::lol:
by brock mentoring bedell i mean have him the next coach and sign brock until bedell has graduated bedell cant be a coach until he has a degree
So we hire Brock for a year so Brad can graduate? Then give the job to Brad?
Sounds like a plan this Brock character would be ecstatic about.
i thought bedell was a year or two away...?
plus hes younger than i thought my bad
Denver Johnson. Think he could help with recruiting Oklahoma/Texas.
You have to root for both Bedell and Brock, being former Buffs and all. But I have to agree with Malph that having a guy named "Denver Johnson" on the staff would be exremely cool.
Let's hear it for men named Denver, uncle Jesse.
I don't even know who Denver Johnson is... but I love his name!
Resume for Denver Johnson:
1981: Graduated from Tulsa
1981-1983: Played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
1983-1985: Played for a couple different teams in the USFL
1985: Graduate assistant at Oklahoma State
1986-1989: Assistant head coach and offensive line coach at Tennessee-Martin
1989-1993: Offensive line coach at Oklahoma State
1993-1995: Offensive line coach at Mississippi State
1996: Assistant coach at Oklahoma
1997-1999: Head coach at Murray State
2000-2008: Head coach at Illinois State
You don't get Denver Johnson on the staff. Denver Johnson IS the staff.
You have no idea who these people are? I'm hoping I'm missing the sarcasm here. Stan Brock? You have no idea? Brad Bedell? Nothing?
There's a line in the sand of college football fans that separates those who know most of the players and the head coaches for the big programs from those who know the all of the players, head coaches, position coaches, members of the training staff, and recruiting coordinators for every conceivable program in the country.
I simply choose to not cross that line. It's step 3 in my "still relatively sane in 2015" plan.
Stan Brock and Brad Bedell both played for the Buffs, which is probably why Highflyer was wondering why you had never heard of them before.
Ahh, well I'm also only 26, and I was much more a pro football fan than a college football fan until I was actually in college, so... there ya go.
I think his call was 'BCS to kleenex again' or 'cheek to omlette pan', wasn't it??
You would have to be older or a student of the team's history to know who the 'Brocks' were, and I use the plural.
Not only did they play for the Buffs, but they were All Americans.
Holy mackrel, where have you been for the past few months? Recruiting season is usually your prime time
He's probably been disecting the Broncs new staff over on orangemane.
Welcome back, Col.
Stan Brock or Bedell
Hawk says it's "highly doubtful" Bedell will be the coach
According to the Camera, sounds like Denver Johnson is the leading candidate and we should see something in the next week and a half or so.
Would you like denver johnson or stan brock?
Separate names with a comma.
