Why bother though? He knows he is gone at the end of the year anyway, so why go through those games. Just play who you want until they fire you. If there is less money coming if CU waits to fire him, then maybe he is trying to get fired.
This is a mystery to me, and Kirkwood is a good kid who didn't deserve to be yanked around. He's already a patient walkon, paying his way, attending practice, working out with coaches on his own dime --- what to gain by telling him he's STARTING and then not playing him?
Who gained what, here? Who was harmed? Only Goodman earned his spot again in an ugly way as far as team morale. Wouldn't expect anyone to trust anything the coaches tell 'em after this.
