Will Pericak, CU Buffs lineman, accused of lighting fire in Boulder bar

Pericak=/=Givens

Not to people in the media. The guy could have been ten feet away performing CPR on a Nun at the time... Fact was, he was there and with the guy busting up cars. As far as I remember they didn't get arrested for that, but it sure made the news. At any rate, this is his second time getting caught publicly doing something (other than winning football games) that newspapers rely on for business. I hope Embree makes it clear to him that a 3rd instance of bad publicity will not be tolerated!

Hopefully it wont be a suspension, can they make him run laps or something as punishment? Maybe make him run up to the top of Mt Sanitas and back until he can do it in under 2 hours? Curraheee!!!

Most of you guys have your blinders on. He was already on a short leash before for getting caught up with Givens. Even if he didn't do a thing back then in that parking garage, he had to have known he was on that short leash. And now he chest bumps the bartender, lights a fire then runs away when he looks like he's going to get in trouble. I don't care what you guys say, lighting a fire in a bar with lots of people around is a ****ing dumb move. And it is more serious than some of you guys think it is.

According to the ToS, I'm pretty sure you can't call someone a douche on here, but I will say the way the scene was described, it sounds like he did a real douche-y move.

Geez NBD, you make it sound like Will is George Costanza.

I would sit him a game. He did something stupid, but not something evil or anything.

I find it pathetic that several of you want to defend this pathetic behavior.
I don't want to. I just can't help it. It's like an addiction or something. My brain says, "Must...not...defend." But I can't help it. You are correct. I am just pathetic. :sad1:

Meh. I find it pathetic what passes for news in Boulder these days.

The mug shot treatment should be reserved for felonies. This story is police blotter material and nothing more.

Who's defending? I think the consensus is that we don't care about it and that it isn't a big deal. That is vastly different than defending.

I don't give a **** about your opinion

Is totally different than

Go easy on him guys cause he's an uptight douche who was probably bottle fed.

See?

Agree, I actually find it funny. Typical college behavior. I'll be dissapointed if he gets any serious punishment.

In the words of the great Oracle of Fritch, Texas, "you can't fix stupid." Seriously, a little self-control goes a long way. The great thing about football is that even if you are predisposed to reckless and physically dangerous behavior, you have a great outlet for 2 1/2 hours every afternoon in the summer, spring and fall. Whoop up on some o-lineman, Will. You will feel golden after its done and you won't have to go to Boulder County Jail.

Embree may come down hard on him. He was out of strikes.

It really sucks, but I agree. If it was a first time probably he'd sit a game. After the other incident, at least 3 games and any other problems he's gone. could be even worse.

Anyone know how Bonsu's doing? we are going to need him.

On a serious note, when I hear about fire in a crowded bar, I recall the club fire in Rhode Island. Fire and drunk people don't mix.

Fire & drunk people = sackygate.

Those burgers don't cook themselves.

I thought bartenders were supposed to quit serving customers before they become, "heavily intoxicated". ??
