Don't like. I still think we need a coach from a big time conference.

I am really not sure if it is appropriate to poach two coaches from AFA in 3 years.

Would a guy leave his alma mater to come to CU? I realize it is a bigger job, but I'd be surprised.

I do not like this idea. We need to stop getting coaches from AFA and start taking prime candidates from big programs.

I actually like Calhoun alot. He just re-upped at AFA. He's making pretty close to what CU would likely be paying our next HC. There would also be a ($2.5MM?) buyout involved to get him out of his contract. I'd say the chances are pretty slim.

Let's get a big name like Nick Saban or Urban Meyer. Don't settle for a big time assistant, because OC's and DC's have no track record as HC's and often fail flat out. Fail like lose a lot AND have players in trouble all the time, etc.

Nope, we need a proven HC from a major conference. Maybe Pete Carroll?

I have always found it curious why people use the "like a ..." phrase...

There is only one CHarlie Strong and one Brent Venables.... so who is it that is "like a" them?

 it's just slang, it cracks me up when people say it in person. It works a lot better on the internet. Lets get an Urban Meyer in here. How about a Tim Tebow at QB?

I'm assuming you know what he meant, but in case you're really asking for clarification, he's just saying a big name coordinator from a big time school.

it is funnier when people say it on talk radio... there is one host here in Philadelphia that will blast a caller when they say.... "lets bring a Bill Belichek type in here to coach the Eagles."

Like the Eagles owner can just clone him on the spot.....

I knew what Leash meant.... I just like parsing his words and making fun of him...

Well a Bill Belichek is easily found, Andy Reid and McNabb should be ran out of town immediately.
