NEW ORLEANS – For the second straight poll, the University of Colorado men’s cross country team is the top-ranked team in the USTFCCCA Coaches Poll.
The CU women also jumped up six positions in this week’s poll to 10[SUP]th[/SUP] overall, their best ranking since the 2011 season.
Each team is coming off an outstanding performance at the 2013 Pac-12 Championships. The men won their third straight title with 28 points as they placed all five runners in the top nine. Oregon took second with 54 points and Stanford was third (79). The women took second overall (75) and were just six points from upsetting the top-rated Arizona Wildcats (69). They finished well in front of the third-place finisher, Washington, which recorded 111 points.
