This thread is also known as: Some of you are coloring outside the lines again, some are new and don't know any better, and others, like methed up lemmings, can't help but follow when they see someone get away with something... so now I'm starting to get annoyed and need to post this crap again. 2013 Version.

1. Recruit threads (their actual profiles) are to remain on topic. A random joke every now and then is fine. But it is not an invitation to threadjack into 2 pages of bad puns. If someone makes you laugh, rep him/her. Don't fret too much about how much poorer the rest of our lives are as a result of your rapier wit response being in a rep comment instead of on the board for everyone to see.

2. Recruit threads (their actual profiles) are to remain generally positive. Not the place to rip coaches, CU administrators, other CU players, the prospect's home town or high school, etc. Informed opinion is fine, even if it's not glowingly positive. So feel free to say that you'd like to see a stronger offer list or more stars or a better 40 time or stonger arm or better high school stats or more height or whatever. But don't bash. It's a concern of yours, not a proclamation from the Divine. Something like questioning a position need can be brought up, but discussion should occur in a new thread instead of a recruit's profile. As smart and informed as we are, it's just possible that our coaches have a better handle on the depth chart and whether or not it makes sense to recruit another OL in a given cycle.

3. Moderators will make decisions with a short fuse or quick trigger or (choose your turn of phrase - you get the point). None of us recognize any right to free speech in here. Refer to the pinned thread at the top of this forum for more detail on expectations for this forum. http://www.allbuffs.com/showthread.php/40639-Recruiting-Forum-Guidelines-amp-Stoudt-s-Recruitipedia

Bottom Line: Recruits (and their friends and their families) will google themselves during the process. They'll land here. In their profile thread. It's their first impression of the CU fanbase. So don't be a ****ing idot and turn them off.

To add to Nik's post: if you want to make a profile, we greatly appreciate it. But please pay attention to formatting. If you would rather just have us make one, just shoot us a PM. We are more than happy to make minor tweaks, but it is annoying if we basically have to re-do an entire profile. 'Tini has done a really good job with these as a non-mod so take his lead.

And do not be afraid to jump into discussions. I am an asshole, but most every other regular contributor is more than accommodating.:smile2:

I'm not gonna name names, but some of you are on a list. If you've had a post removed from a recruit thread to the island recently, consider yourselves on that list.

And yes, no one is perfect. Including the mods. But don't make us prove it.
