Welcome to one of Allbuffs' most beloved and popular yearly threads, the coaching carousel.
Who can't keep his dick in his pants or his finger off the number for an escort service this season? Which school will find new funny ways to dismiss a coach for cause when they want to weasel their way out of paying his buyout? And who'll get fired for gross incompetence or merely being a bad football coach? Stay tuned to find out.
And we do have our first relatively high profile (ESSS EEEE SEEE!) vacancy already as Ole Miss, as we all know, fired Hugh Freeze. Latest report now is that A&M would be going for Dabo all guns blazing if/when Sumlin gets fired after this season as I can't see the Aggie boosters accepting another season where they pay Sumlin $5m to win 8 games (24-15 since Manziel).
Here's a write up of the current coaching situation by Pete Thamel, who believes the market will right itself this year and it could be a quieter carousel than we've become accustomed to in recent years. He seems to think that Kingsbury, Sumlin and the both Arizona schools are the best bet right now, but the buyout for Graham and Rich Rod could be an interesting test for P12 budgets.
