Best game of the year and people are still whining constantly.
Not I, proud of these guys. Montez especially, plenty of others too. Phil, that goes without saying. Shay fields, been looking for ya, he showed today. Only question, how close were we to 200 rushing? Think 347 was the passing #.

I didn’t see this game coming. With the exception of the 4th quarter d performance this was a flashback to last year. Montez looked different than he has all year. The offensive line started slow but came together as the game went on. Great performance. Montez saying he expects to sweep the next three games and win the bowl game (like going to one is guaranteed) kind of worried me though.

He took a ton of heat this past week, he had a great game and he's having an fu moment to his critics I guess. Might want to slow down on his guarantees.

Wtf...I said no to this game because I thought it was supposed to be a night game and I have a work party. I’ve been busy re-wiring my guitar and had no idea we were playing lol! Well at least we won, that’s a plus, maybe I’m bad luck.

Speaks about what kind of guy he is too, sucks when you get looked down on by fans, teammates, and on TV. Don't know if all that is true with him but it happens.

Whining v Demanding?
Unlike many on this board who personally go after the young men on this team, I only whine about preparation, execution, coaching, and results.
A true Buffs fan always cheers for the kids and the team to succeed!
A true fan is also demanding of the people that are paid between $300,000 and $3,000,000 to work tirelessly for the kids, the fans, the alumni, the former players, and the community.
If and when there is solid execution, coaching, game planning, and results, we should all acknowledge that without waiver and applaud all involved.
This game completely backs me off many of the demands that I whine about and I pray for the same effort next week.
However, Lindgren will never likely get out of my opinion that he must go!
GO BUFFS!

Lol I always think that too like I should stop watching. My son didn't let me today lol.

It's truly amazing what can be accomplished with 3.5-4.0 seconds of protection from an O line. Today is what I expected to see starting 9 weeks ago, feet planted and Montez delivered perfect long balls and it's a beautiful thing to watch. Last time..Shenault should be starting, for the life of me I don't understand why this is not obvious to the staff. DJ must've spent the week watching film of last season cause the D I saw today vaguely resembled JL's....he can be taught.

Yes, I said after the AZ game that we'd only win the OSU game. I was wrong. Happy to eat my words. I'm an awful person and terrible Buff. But I'm very stoked about this and hope we can parlay this into one more win. A bowl game would be huge.

Edited to maximize accountability and contrition.

HTH.

I didn't take it so much as a guarantee as kind of the team goal for the rest of the season. Would you prefer that he say something like "Well .. we only have to win one more game to be bowl eligible, and that won't be easy, but if we do that, we're good"?

He didn't guarantee anything and I will never understand why people get so upset when someone says they expect to win the rest of their games. That is exactly what you want him to say.

Sent positive posts for buffrock85 but he deserves laps, at least like 4. I'll run 2 here, that's fair.

Say nothing, act mature, demand the same effort again next week. Shut up and go back to work. Maturation moment.

"And while you're at it ... get off my damn lawn!!"

Seriously ...

This kind of thinking has got me through 50 yrs of watching Buffs football. Coaches are paid to put players of a young age into positions to succeed. My greatest memories are those of seeing the youngsters excel at given moments because they were coached to succeed. BL can call a decent game on occasion not consistently and when he does call one there's no killer instinct.
