CU @ Utah Game Thread (11/25, 8PM on FS1)

CU doesn't have a rival....it's sad but true.
Utah games are getting BIG between the two of us, but BYU/Utah are rivals...CU/Utah is not.

Don't know who our rival is anymore, but we need one.
If only CSU were in a P5 and didn't suck as much as they do.

For a really good rivalry both teams have to recognize it (e.g. TX & OK). I’m not completely sure how the Nubs viewed us during our ‘rivalry’ years - a lot of Big 8/12 teams viewed NU as a big or primary rival, I’m sure they considered OU much more their rival than CU. Beating them a few times in important situations helps grow the rivalry though. I suspect the Lambs see CU as a big rival, but they haven’t won enough games for us to return the favor.

I was able to get to know Coach Osborne from Nebraska several years back while working as a sports editor in Nebraska. He was a nice guy, but also a bit of a jerk.

We talked about this exact thing. He said he never viewed cu as a rival, but that They always he would Oklahoma master bedroom arrival. He did not like CU and never understood why we felt the need to use them as arrival anyway.

Followed up Turkey Day with Wild Turkey Day, I'm guessing. That's a post that would make @Uncle Luko proud. :ROFLMAO:

That's interesting that he disliked CU because it's been widely reported that in the late 70s, he was offered and almost accepted the head coach job at CU after becoming frustrated with the excessive expectations of the red horde.

And what exactly is an Oklahoma master bedroom arrival? Is that the same thing as getting a switzer stuck in your schnellenberger?

I'm looking forward to this game. Turning point game. Means nothing nationally, means everything to us.
Seems really important today, I’ll bet in a couple years we yawn in remembrance unless something really spectacular happens (like we blow them out and kick off a long winning streak).

I bet that Utah fans in southeast Utah get up for this game considering the entire state of Colorado comes to camp in their backyards every spring. We used to call the Moab city market parking lot boulder west over spring break. Probably some hatred there

Quick joke.
How do you know when it’s spring time in southern Utah??
the license plates turn green.

46 Poly’s for Utah. Wow!

GB’s key is our offensive line vs their defensive line.

Utah 15th in the nation in forcing turnovers.

Rick George is on. He’s talking about basketball and soccer. He said if CU doesn’t win, Mac is gone.

GB does not believe Montez has corrected any of his flaws and mistakes over the entire year. Has what it takes to be great, but has to correct his flaws.
