Overall PAC12 football experience

Loved Kauai. Went there first in 1993 right after Fernanda had hit, so there was some amount of damage, but the stay was great. Took a dirtbike tour around with a guide which was awesome. The only thing that sucked was the soil. That red crap would pack a knobby in under 10' and I slid off of several curves because I misjudged how little traction I had.

Will never forget that ride though, nor how much more relaxing that island was compared to the others.

that’s awesome! I went to Oahu first like 10 years ago. We went to Maui last year to get married on Maui and we did our honeymoon at the Sheraton on Kauai. I was totally blown away by how different it was and relaxing.

have you ever been to a place like Seattle? Where you can walk down the street and not see a single chain? Every corner of Colorado is a bank, Starbucks and a McDonald’s. The beer is fantastic and the food scene is improving all the time here. There are some great places to go now that are very enjoyable. Colorado is still loaded with chain restaurants and establishments everywhere. Seattle obviously has Starbucks and Amazon and other things but you don’t have to go to Starbucks in Seattle, because you can walk 15 feet north and you’ll see 6 random coffee shops you can go to instead.
Seattle is a great city.

Colorado small towns and suburbs have much more character than what you see in the Seattle metro, though. The growth has turned it into master planned cookie cutter communities.

There is just about no place on Earth any better than Ouray or Durango, and you'll never convince me otherwise.

I finally went to Ouray for the first time like 2-3 years ago. Stayed in a bed and breakfast with this little old couple that ran it and they made the best breakfast spread I’ve ever seen. We explored the city and went up to Telluride (it was ski season) and we had a great time. I need to go back during the summer though, awesome place.

Downtown is significantly different now than when I was 21 and that was just 13 years ago! I was born in 85 and Colorado is not even close to the same place it was 30 years ago, it’s crazy different. No one in my family hates it here, but we all feel the same way. It’s gotten crazy expensive and insanely packed with traffic. One of my biggest issues is that we have all these people and none of the transit is fleshed out. Light rail is great if you live south of Denver otherwise good luck you’re stuck driving everywhere you go. RTD took all my taxes, built everyone else transit and gave the middle finger to everyone north of Denver, “oh maybe by 2050.” Driving to concerts at Fiddlers is a nightmare on Friday night concerts and going to sporting events is always packed on I-25. Other than that Colorado is fine, I probably don’t even take advantage of all it has to offer anyways. That’s admittedly my fault.

Now see, you dog on Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree, but talk about light rail and Fiddler's Green. You'd be minutes away from both down here. It does suck down here sometimes and there are chains everywhere, but drive through most suburbs around this country and it is the same thing.

I think I really like Seattle because it’s different than what I’m used to. But I like how you can walk around and see so many small shops, I like that feel. I don’t spend all my time downtown though when I go there. We’re usually around the Queen Anne area which is where I do most of my walking around. Kerry Park is an amazing view in that area. What I really like about the sports though was that when we went to a Seahawks and Mariners game they had that area laid out and had vendors out on the street between Centurylink and Safeco just cooking food right off the grill and selling it and the have Elysian brewing right there too. Denver doesn’t have that feel with the sports because all of our stadiums are far apart and there aren’t the built up areas around them for that stuff. Although the Rockies are building the experience thing downtown which is going to very very cool. I actually saw the blue beam 3D renderings and the construction documents a few years ago and that’s going to be a huge hit downtown. I wish the Broncos had that ability but they’re stuck in a congested area with no room.

Isn't Denver going to turn the Elitch property into a riverwalk between Pepsi Center and Mile High?

Chains are way worse north, there are actual restaurants down there you want to go to lol. I don’t hate the area, I hate the traffic, it’s just too congested down there. There’s some beautiful areas down south. Smoky Hill road and E-470 is beautiful, I love that area. But my house down there would cost me WAY more.

Hmm I’m not sure on that one! That would be cool though. They’ve done a good job building up the platte river area though. It’s a cool area down there now around 20th.

CU is not an island in the PAC, it is the lighthouse. As coach Tucker brings CU back to national prominence the PAC 12 light will be bright once again as it should be. CU hasn't held up it's end of the bargin in this union either. CU seems to have their house in order now after the near self inflicted death penalty. It's not the west coast schools but CU that is the catalyst for TV numbers, and this will bring dish finally back to the table. This plus UM at USC will be great for the Pac, Mel's Buffs stampeding their ass will kick start the rivalry we need, TV needs, the Pac needs. I think most west coast fans suck and miss the rowdies of the 12, for the school and it's long term health, think the Pac is better fit.

No, I’ve lived here my entire life, I don’t see what’s so great about it. I mean it’s okay, it’s better than some states but it’s not like it’s a paradise worthy of the droves of people moving here. I don’t care for the snow and I can’t snowboard anymore due to my messed up knee, I’d rather live by the ocean. It has his moments, it’s not a terrible place to live.
Then move, be where you would be happy.

OK here is a question...what's the most over rated city in CO? By City I mean anywhere really.

Is it Telluride?

Break out all the old posts you want.

Downplaying a game because it is "too late in the season" is the height of stupidity.

Have a mediocre day.
Say Duff I had said before the season started I thought SM would be top 3 in confrence and you did not. I don't need to wait for the season to end before saying you called it. You were RIGHT I was wrong, really had hope for him this season and still want him to finish strong. I don't remember the thread and saw this post so thought I would give you props here.

If you can, go for the Film Festival. Did that a few years ago (I'm a movie nerd) and it was really cool.
