Colorado v USC - September 30, 2023 - 10am MT, FOX

Zero chance we can play from behind against an offense this explosive especially without a over the top threat like Travis

Man, we can't handle injuries at all. USC easily handles it.
USC rebuilt really fast. I wonder if we can do the same through the portal again this year? We need some help on defense. And o-line. Kicking too

Looking as bad as we can against the 2 most talented teams on the schedule is discouraging. But reasonable

98 y.o Peggy said she and her sister never left a game early, because 'as long as the boys are out on the field, we won't leave them alone.'
The Buffs on the field aren't enjoying this. Good fans are still cheering them on.

I’m not dismissing the special talent that is Hunter but he wouldn’t make a meaningful difference in this game (or last week). The problems are much deeper than one or two players.

That's loser talk.
I don't expect to win, but I would prefer to not have an embarrassing performance on national TV for the 3rd week in a row
Me too, but you have to be ****ing realistic. It's like we all had reasonable expectations at the beginning of the season and were rational about our depth and then some of y'all lost your minds after the Nubs game.

We already knew we aren't gonna get any time in the pocket and you knew we weren't getting any pressure on Williams
Prime and staff have done an amazing job turning the program around but right now it doesn't matter if we can't compete on the line of scrimmage.

The good news is that for next season bring in 3-4 legitimate DL and 3-4 legitimate OL and this is a completely different team. No Championship level yet but able to play with just about anybody.

Too early to request coaching changes? Or is it the missing dawgs that make it look worse?

Well - you've got one team that went 1-11 last year, has a new coaching staff, a change-over roster, and quite a few starters missing due to injury. Before the season started, people were saying Colorado had the worst talent of any team in the country. Then you've got another team that has the returning Heisman trophy winner, a returning coaching staff, a returning roster, etc. USC was favored to compete for the conference championship and maybe the college football championship.

It's not like CU has played NAIA teams these past two weeks. Oregon and USC are legit top 10 teams and they have shown that.

We got spoiled by what happened the first couple weeks of the season - but as soon as injuries set in and the Buffs started playing the better teams on the schedule, this was bound to happen.

Did weaver get hurt on that tackle form the bad pass interception?
It seems like a bad throw to me. I know Weaver was going inside but Shedeur was so off on that throw. To be honest, this is the worst I've seen 2 look in years. He's not handling USC blitzes well. I seen three passes that have been by far his worst of the season.

The throw on the 3rd down
The Cobb throw on 1st down a couple plays before
And the INT

He not struggling with flat pressure but he's struggling with their LB blitzes.

I actually disagree
Special players can change game plans and attention
SS also has supreme confidence in Travis and would at least throw some balls to him that are more 50/50
Travis would make a difference

We're just further away than we hoped for. We have some players, Prime is recruiting hard, we'll get there. Just not this year. Need more dudes

We'll look a lot better against most of the PAC, but that upper tier is really good this year

Don't disagree but is it too much to ask that the coordinators make changes that reflect the players and situation?

USC had much better players when Riley arrived. He had to fill in some pieces but it’s not like they had a bunch of JAGs (like CU did)

They've looked like **** for 3 games in a row and about to be down 21 here getting embarrassed on national TV
In all seriousness, we won 1 game last year with a lot of guys that just couldnt play at this level. Now we have 3 wins and have far better coaching.

Deion brought in a lot of talented guys. Some *wanted* to play for him and have the talent Full stop. But I suspect others probably wanted to transfer because they were unhappy and or not starting for some reason. Still talented but arrived with things they need to work on.

Rome wasnt built in a day. Both my Oregon BIL and cousin both reminded me it took the Ducks a decade to get the OL they have today. Without it you cant really line up effectively against any top 10 program. Deion has a lot of work to do on both lines.

Im VERY HAPPY with the improvement im seeing. Were just talent limited against top 10 teams.
