One point I do agree with is that technology is pushing us to impersonal communication. We lose something significantly human when we stop speaking to each other, especially face-to-face. :)lol: at my making this point on an internet message board.)

my wife and i notice this all the time when out getting something to eat. it is amazing how many couples will be sitting at the same table and both are on thier phones texting. barely a word is spoken between the two. i will never understand it.

I recently saw about five or six teenage girls, walking together out of a movie, every last one of them was on the phone....:lol:
 
I don't think Parker Orms girlfriend is getting enough attention in this thread. I thought this was Allbuffs........
 
Does anyone know when/if he is coming back? How does this stuff stay out of the press? Does Embree have a deal with the press that he won't stonewall them all the time like Hawkins if they don't write about a few things? WTF?

Doesn't a university have to make college athletes available for interview as a general policy?

OK, buzz kill. Yeah, I have a tough time with "effect" AND "affect." I made a spur of the moment decision to go with "effect." So shoot me. I was trying to crack a joke. Not Mr. Grammar. Mr. Grammar.

I did not mean, ban Twitter to the general public to whom the 1st Amendment does apply. I am an advocate for information control within an organization to the extent necessary and allowed. Parker probably says nothing to damage the reputation of CU but he certainly does not seem to be overly intelligent or articulate. I know these guys are only 19, 20 years old but they need to understand that they are creating a public record and image of themselves that will follow them beyond this stage in life. I just think it is a shame that more do not leverage their opportunities created as a result of their position as CU football players. It has opened a lot of doors for me and I would love to see these guys use it to their advantage. My bet is that Coach Mac would put a muzzle on these guys to the extent he could. I am for that. Thanks for helping me clarify my position, 'Tini.
