  1. Denver Post's Top CO Prospects for 2012

They have always had a national approach, but recently this Ram is the reason they have targeted so many CO kids: http://notredame.rivals.com/viewcoach.asp?Year=2011&Sport=1&Coach=430
  2. Chris Martin Transferring

Colorado has to be the darkest of horses here, but wouldnt that be something. I think the kid is Florida bound, which sucks because their depth on the D line is just nasty. It isnt fair....Please let them get put on probation for the Pouncey stuff....
  3. '11 CO RB Adonis Ameen-Moore (Verbal to Syracuse)

Watch both Dorian Brown and Adonis play this year (Although Thompson Valley was brutal last year) and you will see who the best back and D1 propspect is. I am not just saying this because Ameen Moore has favorites other than CU, but Brown is bigger and faster than AM. He runs just as hard but...
  4. '11 CO QB Brock Berglund (Signed to Kansas)

For what its worth, the kid was booted from Valor's basketball team and although he has put his best face forward in interviews and at the camps he has attended, there are some questions about his character.....He has a hole year to mature though and I would hope the buffs end up offering him.
  5. Worst possible scenario: Texas/A&M go to Pac10 and CU is left in rump Big12

CU's academic prestige is no where near Stanfords, UCLAs, Cals, UTs or even aTms. I love the university, but the academic side has this false sense of self entitlement that is hurting the athletic department and the university from a "big picture" perspective. I agree that CU's donors are lack...
  6. Worst possible scenario: Texas/A&M go to Pac10 and CU is left in rump Big12

The TV revenue that would be generated for the PAC 10 by adding teams like UT and aTm holds a greater NATIONAL market share than adding CU and Utah...Both are regional teams that are a distant 2nd in ratings to the broncos and cougars respectively
  7. Worst possible scenario: Texas/A&M go to Pac10 and CU is left in rump Big12

Why would a move to the MWC w Boise and an automatic BCS bid be a bad thing? As it stands now, the conference is no worse than the Big XII north, Pac Ten (look at the head to head MWC vs Pac 10 the last couple years), ACC and Big East....Like it or not, the MWC is legit , especially if they keep...
  8. Worst possible scenario: Texas/A&M go to Pac10 and CU is left in rump Big12

Harsh but true......CU's athletic department has, count them, eleven NCAA varsity sports. They are the dropping of one sport away from being a division 2 athletic department. The pac ten prides itself in non revenue sports like baseball and softball, sports which CU is far removed from. Talk all...
  9. 2011 in-state Recruiting

In my opinion, Dorian Brown is a better prospect than Ameen Moore. Its not a knock on AD as much as it is a compliment to Brown. AD has never really shown the quickness or footspeed that make big backs like Bettis and even Lendell effective (AD has twice the work ethic of white, for the record)...
  10. No Buffs invited to the Combine

Geer. Mohler, Burney and Smart may not be draftable, but Mohler in particular deserved a look at one of the senior showcase games. I didnt single out Hawkins (but the article did), which is why I said better "staff"...at least in terms of selling their players to NFL player personell...
  11. No Buffs invited to the Combine

A better staff will do a better job promoting their draftable players. Here is a quote on an article done on Brad Jones after the draft: "One of the big mysteries surrounding Jones is how he lasted until the seventh round of the draft. His father said he talked to various agents and found out...
  12. '10 CO DT Lexington Smith (Signed to Northern Colorado)

He beat out many out of state kids to win the DT MVP at the nike camp here in boulder....If he was an out of state kid you would still have people asking why the staff wasnt in on a kid who impressed here in town and has all of the physical measurables you look for. He is not my #1 choice for a...
  13. '10 CO DT Lexington Smith (Signed to Northern Colorado)

Its rare (unless its CU) that you see a true freshman DTackle contribute and make a difference....Smith is as physically ready as Bonsu and more so than Cunningham. Lex doesnt have Curtis' motor, but given CUs young depth at DT and NG they dont need him to contribute immediately. Again, CU needs...
  14. '10 CO DT Lexington Smith (Signed to Northern Colorado)

Like they did with Kai, Jalil, Speedy and Will Jefferson? CU needs a true DT this class and Lex fits the bill. The kid has talent and is a beast when motivated. I have no problem with the staff "settling" on this kid
  15. 2010 class is almost full - what positions do you want us to fill?

Canty is the only true WR the Buffs have on this list. Duncan is being recruited as one, but I think he may end up at DB before all is said and done....Where they think Duncan ends up will determine whether or not CU needs another DB or WR. 1 DB/WR (one of each if they sign 22) 1 DT 1 LB
  16. '11 CO OLB Leilon Willingham (Signed to Central Florida)

    1. Willingham: On the top of my in state wish list. (Dorian Brown is 2). 2. Rayshaun Wiliams: Watch him play. Even with limited touches, the kid has all the talent in the world. If Marshall signs a long term contract with denver, I think he is CUs to lose. 3. Ameen-More: You could swap this spot...
  17. Brown leaving means...

I honestly pray Cabral sticks around....but I do not see why he would want to and why he would work under this doofus (yes, I just used that word). Ideally, given the circumstances, Collins gets canned, Cabral is promoted to DC (long overdue) and Sykes moves in to coach LBs with Brian looking...
  18. Where did they go...P.T. Gates?

Has a career high in rushing yards (140 and counting) and 77 yards in receiving...What could have been....
  19. Just a few little things - Fun With Statistics

Other than typical cramps (even though Hawkins is the coach, Im not talking those kind of "cramps") there havent been any that stand out to me. Mostly shoulder and knee injuries.
  20. Just a few little things - Fun With Statistics

Under Barnett it was shoulder injuries. Under Hawkins it has been both shoulder (see the # of kids who had shoulder injuries and surgery last off season: Polk, Josh Smith, Head, Mahnke..just off the top of my head) and knee injuries. My issues with Pittman, like it was posted above is that he...
