Buffs at the Combine

Legwold says Taylor will be an intriguing guy for teams because he didn’t really start playing football until his senior year in HS. He has a lot of room to grow.

After already posting great numbers at the combine, gotta imagine his stock just went through the roof.

I have no idea who Legwold is, but I do know that you and the rest of us already knew everything he said.

Watching that 2 minutes of Montez reminds me of an article about him a little while back. It talked about how in high school he didn't go to many camps and instead would throw with his dad running routes for him (and btw, I don't begrudge father and son QT in slightest). But something about that read stuck with me. I started wondering if the lackluster mechanics and locking on to 1 route just got ingrained early. So yeah, he can throw different routes in a 1 receiver drill and it looks great in practice, but maybe none of it was structured to translate to the field.

Obviously taking the 40 time with a grain of salt (and understand OLs don't run 40s in games), but only 3 OL at the combine had better times than Hambright.

Those 40 times are clearly altitude aided.
